Welcome to the website of MEK!

MEK stands for “Maatschap Europese Kuikenseksers” (= european Partnership for Chicken Sexers), a partnership of approximately 30 independent, dedicated and devoted chicken sexers.

The partnership was formed on January 1st, 2000. Prior to this date we were united in the NSV, the “Nederlandse Seksers Vereniging” (Dutch Chicken Sexers Association).

The goal of the partnership is practicing the profession of chicken sexing in- and outside the Netherlands.  Our services include both cloacal sexing and feather sexing for broilers as well as layers.

We are practicing our profession in multiple countries. The following list shows the countries in which we are or have been working:
